There were lots of both miscommunication and lack of communication. From the very beginning it started out good then turn south fast. On the day of closing and even after leaving the title company. You would think nothing else could go wrong at this point, but it did. Transparency would have made this experience better for me and correct answers.
I truly appreciated Jason's guidance through this refinancing process and the conscientious manner in which the appraiser and notary came to the house to complete their information gathering during this pandemic. Thank you, Helen Branstetter
Overall worked out, so that’s good. Happy w refinance. 1. Almost no response from Adam. Rob was better. Process was delayed a few times. It expedited a lot when we started calling the main number and working with whoever answered. 2. Lots of early confusion on need for appraisal. 3. Not clear whether we needed 4K to close, or would get 2k back. 4. We weren’t aware we had paid points until signing closing documents. 5. We aren’t aware of 2 years PMI until closing disclosure.
Time after time I had to call over and over just to get anyone on the phone . I would email and wait for days and not hear from anyone then I would call and get someone to answer me. Feel I got ripped off on this loan having to pay 4% in points just to keep the same rate I had before closing . Next time I buy a home I will not be with penny Mack . Then after closing never got the money till I called and started fussing about it and 10-30 mins later I get an email saying needed to sign some more
