I was charged double for the appraisal fee ($445 on 4/6 and again on 4/9). In spite of speaking with individuals on 4 occasions as well as multiple emails to my reps, no one seems to be able to get my money returned to me. I even sent pics of my PNC bank statement activity showing both transactions, and those were supposedly sent directly to the manager in charge of returning my money. Even that seems to have fallen short of Penny Mac doing what they are supposed to do.

Over all it was a great experience. Promped on getting documents to me, communication was awesome, and closing attorney was a great guy as well. Mrs Sera Olson was on point at all times kept me informed about everything.
My experience with PennyMac staff was nothing less than outstanding. They were always available to answer any questions I had and replied to my emails in a timely manner.
During this trying time I feel everyone went above and beyond at PennyMac.
Paperwork was never correct all the way up to closing. It changed 10-15 times, didn’t know my numbers going into closing. I scheduled closing for Wed, the guy was suppose to call me back to confirm after I spoke to my wife the very next day. Never did, then the date changed to that Friday. “Luckily I called you,” were his words to me. My thoughts exactly! Closing document was incorrect at closing, I called, Mac team couldn’t figure out why numbers were wrong. So he was reaching out to someone.
Carlton, along with Tate (my original loan officer), were above and beyond dedicated, knowledgeable, invested and professional. I could not have expected anything more from these two and the rest of the PennyMac team. They both deserve to be recognized for the phenomenal service they provide to individuals like me on a daily basis. They helped me turn the page on a new financial chapter of my life with the savings from this refinance and I am so grateful and feel so lucky to have had their help!
this is my second refinance with Pennymac and it was just as pleasant as the first time.
Great experience I am truly happy with pennymacs professionalism and their ability to quickly resolve any and all issues.
