My loan officer Anthony did not reach out to me about my questions on the documents. I emailed several times with no response. It was horrible. I had questions and took me forever to get through on the phone . For someone else to answer my questions. He also told me I would need to bring money to the table when I asked why he said he didn't know. I was very unpleased with his part in the role .

PennyMac was awesome in their customer services when we refinanced our current mortgage with them using the new VA IRRRL when the rates dropped to 2.75% with a low loan points/costs in record speed of 19 days from start to finish! Everyone at PennyMac that worked on the loan was courteous, efficient, helpful and knowledgeable. Plus, their communications with us using emails, phone calls and their website, which was easy to use, were superb making the loan process go at the speed of lightning!

My wife saw that VA interest rates had dropped to 2.75% with low costs if we refinanced with a VA IRRRL. We got calls from many lenders after we put our info into a loan mortgage calculator in late Feb. '20. We started the loan process with a lender who quoted a low cost but never locked us in for a month at which time loan costs increased $10,000 more. We called PennyMac, our current mortgage lender, on 03-30-20, they quoted same rate at much lower cost, locked us in and we closed on 04-17-20.

Liem was very helpful and kept me with PennyMac, the day of closing the notary showed up and said we had a closing cost over over two thousand even though the loan disclosure said we would get $340 back. I was very upset and very angry and not nice about it, but Liem was patient and professional and fixed the problem. I would recommend other people to PennyMac because of Liem, he was very good, courteous and seemed to care.

All and all we feel it was a pretty solid process just that it took much longer then we were first communicated. We got a number of emails that would say 5-7 and then in 5-7 days we would get a similar email. W There were problems with the appraiser and the documentation and that not being accurate which impacted us and it felt that things were expedited as quickly as they could have been. We recognize Covid-19 may have had an impact of that. Will and Greg were super friendly and helpful
