It was a flawless transaction. PennyMac went beyond expectations and crushed any competition trying to match. The rate was one of the best I ever had. PennyMac is the future if you give them a try. My loan officer is the best in the business. Second to none!
The process took longer than what I was told it would. Also, I was told that I would have 2 months of payment free time between closing and when my 1st payment was due. My original closing date of 4/4 was cancelled by the notary and rescheduled for 4/14. Thus my April mortgage payment was automatically withdrawn but the date of my first new payment was kept at 6/1 in the closing docs thus only giving me a one month payment free grace period.
Communication was terrible! And my loan processor didnt catch the one detail that could have saved us a big headache the days before closing!
I was in the mortgage origination business for 28 years. The speed and ease of this transaction was most impressive. I could tell I was working with a very experienced crew. A real wow factor!

We appreciate that PennyMac makes the process so easy. They do the work and we reap the benefits. I'm very happy to stay with PennyMac until the loan is paid off. i'd highly recommend PennyMac for new mortgages. They saved me money, time, and hassle.
I sent two emails with questions to Austin and never did I receive a response. 4/6/20 and 4/9/20. Also sent one email to my loan officer Paul Pothast on 4/8/20 and did not receive a response.
I've had several mortgage loans and refinances in the past. PennyMac, by far, offered the best customer service, interest rate, and ease of process that we have ever experienced.
