I was told during the application process I would not need my 2021 tax returns to get through underwriting. After missing the first closing date because underwriting had not gone through I was told I did NEED my 2021 taxes filed. This was two days after tax day so I had to expedite filing with my CPA two days after the busiest day of his year. This would have all been very easy to avoid if the team at PennyMac knew what would be required to get through underwriting an FHA loan. I think this is a pretty easy area for the team... read more

Service was great from start to finish!
I sometimes had to call multiple times to reach Noah and often didn’t receive callbacks when I left messages. However, I do realize and acknowledge that this has been a very busy time for mortgage companies. Noah was probably MUCH busier than usual, so I would still give a 9/10 on the overall experience.
Sandrea made the whole process easy! Communication was the key and she was spot on! She was accessible and answered all my questions at all times. I would highly recommend PennyMac and Sandrea to anyone that is interested in mortgage or refinancing. The whole team at pennymac is amazing! Thank you so much!
My bad experience had nothing to do with Chantel Bryant and I support her 100%. We were advised our title and closing documents did not match, but our Notary was confused with how to proceed. There were additional misspelled names and discrepancies that took an inexcusable amount of time!
From the start to end everything was clearly lined out
I feel that too many loans were being juggled and that I was just in the shuffle. I would like to have had daily phone contact with Pennymac for updates and those updates to have been more accurate.
