Homeowners insurance documentation was incorrect although we sent the correct info with plenty of time for underwriting to approve. Called a loan officer and flagged issue before closing and it was not corrected.

The whole loan this time was a mess. I had to submit multiple documents twice, and had a couple times I wasn’t informed that documents were needed. I had a good experience with Penny Mac previously on my other mortgage, but I learned that a loan officer will be much easier next time, even if it does cost a little more. The stress and time taken out to have to find, scan, and re-submit documents was excruciating. Since we knew HOA documents would need to be filled out by HOA officer-it could have been sent out right away and the information about Master insurance could have come from HOA rep since I asked her anyway.

The first person that took my initial information and application said my closing cost would only be $4,500. but they turned out to be $6,900. The manager ( Bruce James) told me he would refund my appraisal fee but instead, they increased my closing cost and they then showed the appraisal fee was deducted from there . NOT WHAT I WAS TOLD The Prosserer ( Yester Gazdian) was very good and helpful
