We had contacted Pennymac multiple times and verified about sellers assist and were told that the closing agent would deal with that and it would not be on the closing doc. Day of closing we finally got an answer that the full sellers assist was not accepted so we lost out on sellers assist that we could have negotiated in a different manner. Had a great experience from the beginning of the process to end and expectations for the closing were actually sooner than expected which I was very pleased.
Chantel was an amazing person thru the process. She made the process smooth and it was truly a pleasure with her, if you have more who are like her then Pennymac will be successful for many years to came.
Everybody we talked with was very pleasant, and helpful.
My cash to close was increased the day prior to closing, with no explanation from my loan officer. My loan officer did not reach out to explain this change at any point. When I called to ask about it, only team members answered my calls but they were unable to give me an accurate answer on what caused the change. I was really let down that I was not given a clear answer on this.
This time was good. My first attempt late last year 2021 was very unpleasant which allowed me time to look at other places and processes! So I did not proceed with the first lady and waited several months because she would not listen!
