I felt my loan officer wasn't very engaged when I would call asking questions. I felt that by calling every 10 days if I hadn't heard anything that I was inconveniencing her. I thought Dino was very pleasant, but misleading when he said how easy this process was going to be. If I had to redo my refi, I would consider going to another institution. I also felt abandoned on the day of my closing. I had problems and no one was available to assist. My loan officer made me feel like unimportant.
Everyone was very professional and quick to answer my questions. It was a smooth transaction and closed faster than expected.
I called and questioned if I could refinance my loan to lower my payments and they checked my credit, had me send documents to prove my income and I got my refinance
Overall experience and responsiveness
So far I have had no problems at all. Fast, courteous and very lovely people from beginning to end on my refinance. PennyMac has been fabulous with everything!!!
Good company !
This is easily the worst loan transaction I've ever done (and I've done about 20). My loan took over 5 months to close (5 months!) with no reasonable explanation whatsoever. I have perfect credit and quickly provided ALL the required info, so there is no reason why this should not have been closed promptly. You guys did hold the original mortgage, so that again also should have been easier. I have additional refinances that I am doing, that will NOT be done through PennyMac.
The entire PennyMac team was terrific from the start. At each point in the process from inquiry, application, processing to closing they kept me updated on status, made sure I was ok with next steps and made sure all my questions were answered. I never had to guess and was always updated. Raven, Nicholas and the entire team with me every step of way. Thank you for your attention and time!
