Get directionsThere are way too many people involved and no one goes over what their exact role is. The initial person Christina was great, after that Ada was horrible to work with. We tried to communicate with her but she only did a weekly check in/call, each week. At closing, the initial notary canceled last minute and no one even called to tell us it needed rescheduled or they couldn’t come. Then Ada called the next day and was mad we didn’t call her but we were never informed to. NO communication!
Easy process all via phone and email. Closing was quick and done in my own home.
Process started off very good. Procedures were outlined and communication was great. So closing was scheduled and notary arrived at my residence and we were ready to go but realized changes needed to be made to the paperwork because of my request to minimize closing cost. It was a late change, so I understand that disconnect. After that appointment, trying to reschedule an appointment was somewhat difficult. Email responses were requested but never received. 5th try we finally got it done.
I’m not sure what was happening with your system to keep track accurately where loans are after information is requested. There was a repeat of information requested and that push my loan out to a total of 3 months. I called almost every week to check on the status. Most agents were helpful but just a few that wanted me off the phone. I had a few agents to escalate my info. Elizabet and Maranda were great. I’m an existing customer and thought that would help the process for a refi
Better communication about what was delaying the timeline, actually responding to email inquiries, actually finding out and responding to what was causing delays, don’t feel I should have to pay extra for an appraisal that was delayed and ultimately caused the delay in closing. The only person who actually responded and did what he promised was Edvarado Zaragoza. I would rate him top notch. The rest of the process was awful and should have been a simple refi.
Please call for explanation.

Arin and Cammorah and especially Craig were very helpful and did the best they could to make things happen within their ability. However, there were repeated changes to the process at every single step of the PennyMac experience. We have documented evidence for everything. From pre-approval to closing, there were numerous errors made, a lack of communication, lack of follow through and a lack of confidence in even being able to close up until 12pm on closing day.
