From the start every time I called I got a different person then had to explain myself over and over. Also not enough money was sent to close the loan. Leaving my wife,daughter ,2 dogs,and myself homeless for a night with nowhere to go. Nothing was done by penny mac to make up for this huge error.. I will NEVER do business with you again. Sure. I didn't like the fact that my closing costs went from "free" to $5,000 or so. Point is I feel like a bait and switch was pulled on us and as an existing and on time with payments loyal customer You could have at least gave us a new customer credit. Yes, we did ask for it to no avail. We were so far in the loan process and with these times and more looming we decided to go ahead with the loan rather than starting over with the local credit union. We even sent the credit unions advertised
Once we started the refi process the service was great. It took 4 days just to reach a rep to start the refi. I understand call volumes were up and the reps could not answer all the customers waiting to get help. I just called every # I found for Pennymac and finally I got a specific name and contact # for a MI rep. That rep was awesome and started my refi right away.

The process was very easy and we received communications with every step of the process. Any questions I had, my emails were answered or phone calls were returned, if somebody wasn’t available at the time I called. The ONLY glitch was my last call, the gentleman who answered my questions provided incorrect info regarding the amount of money we’d receive at closing, which I didn’t think sounded right (based on previous conversations). Other than that, everything was great! Thank you!

Joshua Leatherman provided excellent service. Aida Garcia's services were ridiculously poor. Despite multiple messages via email and phone, the closing was scheduled for the wrong place and the documents were incorrect three days in a row. Two documents were still wrong on closing day. Aida did not return calls with appropriate responses. At the very least, she needs re-training and coaching.
