One person was kindof rude to me when returning my phone call. A third party called me for information they didn't need. Documents requested and promptly privided by me were overlooked which caused a 2 week delay in closing my loan. I downloaded the docs then called to find out the status of my loan and was asked again for the same information. It was at that time the info I provided was addressed. And I had a signing appt within a couple days.
For such a simple refi I don't feel that this process should have taken as long as it did. Also, several documents were sent that were redundant and on several occasions.
The agent dropped the ball the first time and our re-finance fell through and was closed from no fault of ours. We re-applied with the same info, and finally closed. Zero contact throughout the process from our assigned agent, which was the same agent that messed up the first attempt. Our closing date came and went with no responses to my emails. Closing was delayed. During closing, the paperwork was completely wrong. Closing again rescheduled, closing costs increased by thousands.

The full process was easy and totally excellent service from all people involved, communication from start to finish was excellent, all questions were answered quickly, communication was always updated weekly, would highly recommend pennymac and employees.

The eSign process got a bit confusing. When first told to esign, I could not find the documents. The confusing part was a couple of boxes that showed 66% complete. When clicked on those, it just showed docs that had already been signed. Had to get in touch with tech support to get the proper docs onine to eSign.
PennyMac loan experience was easy and complete. The loan officers were very pleasant to work with and explained every detail of the loan and loan procedure right up to closure. Everyone was very personal and always seem to be in good cheer. There wasn't once where they were a stuffed suit when they went over the procedure for the loan and actually had me feeling at ease. The loan was processed faster than I ever thought it would be. When the final signing came I had complete confidence.
