What made it great was that most of my work was done on-line. What wasn't great was the lack of communication. I went weeks without knowing what was happening; where my Loan was in the Process. I emailed "mymacteam" a couple times without getting an answer. I attributed it to lack of employees due to Covid-19.

Communication was slow and sent through email, web portal and phone calls. Would have preferred one method of communication, rather than a mix of all. Closing was slow and we made several inquiries on why our credit was pulled more than 5 times and still no answer nor resolution.

Sharyl can continue to work on her communication skills to improve for future clients. Sharyl often came across as hurrying me off the phone without explaining the process, what was needed, using common language instead of loan jargon or at least explaining the jargon she is using for someone new to the home loan process, and attempting to seem friendlier.

The refinance process was very easy and I would recommend PennyMac to anyone wanting to refinance. The only thing I wish they would have notified us earlier was the monthly payment amount. It was a little higher than quoted.
