Penny Mac did not meet but exceeded my expectations! I am a commercial real estate agent in south Florida so I get to deal with a lot of different lenders, If I could send every client to you I would. My Loan was closed lightning fast and the entire team was fantastic. I would like to specifically recognize Shawnta Cody and Brian Mitchell for delivering A+ service during a time of national crisis. I could have chosen any lender for my refinance, I’m so glad I decided to stay with Pennymac !
The only saving grace for PennyMac was m.a.c. team member Nick. Nick contacted me several times (15+) throughout the process, he alone provided solutions to holdups in the loan process and communicated very frequently with me. Nick worked late multiple nights coordinating all the parts to ensure my closing happened before the deadline of the end of month. Communication could be much better. I understand with the virus that things were interrupted but communication during the entire process was minimal.

Simple process, explained all the way through. Follow up was timely whenever there was a question or need.
This text box is limiting my characters so I cannot share my complete experience in this format. There was a delay on Pennymac's end in processing my loan despite my timely submission/signing of documents. Communication between the loan officer was not consistent with the loan processor. I waited weeks for communication with no response at times. I still don't understand how I made a whole extra payment because of the delay in closing and my loan amount was the same!
During my refinance the Pennymac team was busy. Sometimes I did not get replies right away, but this was during the Coronavirus issue so it is understandable. Brian Mitchell was fantastic to work with. I would recommend him. My concerns are more with the original Loan Officer.
You took too long to close because the underwriters could not seem to understand parents placing a a child on title as JWRS.
Asking for the same documents more than once.
