sending payoff checks to the client rather than directly to the previous lender costs the client time and money, and could lead to payoff delays and more issues. not a very client friendly way to do business.

The communication from the Pennymac team was exceptional. I knew where we were at and what was happening with each step of the process. This is the 3rd time I have closed on a loan with Penny Mac and while each time was excellent, this one was by far the smoothest.

Closing was canceled the first time with absolutely no notification. Closing was then down to the wire without knowing if the MAC team would get the docs to the notary in time for the already rescheduled closing. It was communicated our deposit would be made directly to our checking account and a blank check was provided for this and yet a physical check was mailed to us with no correspondence. Everything was done professionally, accurately, and precisely. I didn't expect to close so soon. Every question I had was answered fully so I knew what to expect and with understanding.
