First of all communication from the start, a reply to calls or email, which i never received either in any kind. Customer service "reps" and "managers" that actually cared about their customers, and getting documentation right the first time, not closing two months later. Try to breed a crocodile in the wild would of been easier than the mess we went through to do a simple refinance! I am utterly disappointed with PennyMac and your so called "team" of professionals, that were down right crap!
I was told by Kyle in a recorded conversation that if I closed before the 26th of August I wouldn't need to pay my August mortgage payment.. I called Pennymac 3 days later because I kept receiving calls and I found out that August payment was due and outstanding. I emailed Kyle twice concerning this matter and I left voice messages I'm yet to receive a response from Kyle. The money I used for the refinance closing was the money to pay my August payment and my account was reported late.
The comunication was clear , had a little problem at closing but i feel i was the one that benefited by it , i had a geat experience with Penny Mac , definitely will recommend

Given what is currently going on in the world, It was a pleasant experience. It took longer than I had thought, but given all the barriers presented by Covid-19, everything turned out great. I would like to commend MS. Christmas on her professionalism and performance. I would also like to recognize Tyler, the first person I talked to when I started the process. Thank you.
Michael seemed overloaded with work and unable to attend to my loan. I wanted to discuss renegotiating my rate but he didn’t seem very knowledgeable about anything but the most basic processing tasks.The rollover of the phones to a “dump line” which doesn’t let you reach anyone when someone calls on a recognized number is very poor customer service. I had to call on a phone number your system did not recognize to reach my loan officer. I know that is by design and I think it is disingenuous.
Such a smooth transaction! Highly recommended!
