The closing process was a horrible experience. My loan representative did not provide good customer service, she did not follow up with me as she stated she would on certain inquiries and had a poor attitude through the process.
Good customer service
Not openly lying to loan applicants and providing false information during the loan process. During initial discussions on terms, the loan specialist told me that there is "no risk" in picking a rate and points as we would lock in the rate closing. When I asked closer to closing to get the Penny Mac advertised rate, I was told my rate was locked lack hole of accountability and random handoffs between the initial loan specialist, to a loan officer, to a closing specialist, to A terrible notary.
For the most part, the process was hassle free. Due to my type of loan, I only had to submit a couple of documents and sign a couple of disclosures. Otherwise, the process was pretty smooth. I gave slightly lower than satisfactory ratings on a couple questions because of the discrepancies between the "final" closing disclosure received a few days before closing and the actual final closing disclosure received from the notary at closing.
