Awesome team there at PennyMac. They kept me informed on what I needed to submit to keep my loan process quick and easy
For the most part, the process was hassle free. Due to my type of loan, I only had to submit a couple of documents and sign a couple of disclosures. Otherwise, the process was pretty smooth. I gave slightly lower than satisfactory ratings on a couple questions because of the discrepancies between the "final" closing disclosure received a few days before closing and the actual final closing disclosure received from the notary at closing.

I requested different disbursement amounts be included in order to avoid overpaying certain accounts. I provided the statements needed as requested and that didn’t happen. I’ll now have to wait for checks from some companies to be issued. The rate feels a little high as rates went down over the length of time it took from start to finish.

From start to the closing day, the loan documents with closing disclosures have ALWAYS been inaccurate. Ed and team were never on the same page in regards of accurate closing costs. None of the managers ever got in contact with me to resolve the issues . At closing, the closing costs changed, AGAIN, from what we were told explicitly. The overall experience was frustrating. I understand delays due to pandemic is unavoidable, but there were other delays that could've been avoided to close faster.
I found my initial contact with PennyMac was excellent. I spoke with Irwing Enriquez. He was very professional. Cheree' Payton walked me through everything else. If I had a question, they were quick to respond. Thank you so much!
