I requested different disbursement amounts be included in order to avoid overpaying certain accounts. I provided the statements needed as requested and that didn’t happen. I’ll now have to wait for checks from some companies to be issued. The rate feels a little high as rates went down over the length of time it took from start to finish.
Kind representatives and fast service!
Issue 1 > I had to go through the application almost its entirety twice due to system issues, Almost 3 hours on the phone. I should have just stopped then. Issue 2 > Requesting documents multiple times which they already had requested and I had provided. Issue 3 > Not responding to multiple emails Issue 4 > I had to start calling weekly/daily to finally get my loan to close on 8/13, process started 5/22 Extremely frustrating experience.
During the process I never felt alone, I felt like I had a team working behind scenes and they were checking with me once a week and If I had questions I was able to contact them which it felt very nice.
We could not get ahold of the right people when we needed to, and could not get straight answers often times when needed to plan accordingly. Our closing also had to be scheduled 3 times because of miscommunication between pennymac and the title company, which for our schedules was very difficult to accommodate in short notice. Then the amount needed at closing wasn’t accurate which made the matter even more frustrating. It simply didn’t go the way we hoped which was disappointing.
Easy streamlined process
The process was simple enough. However, I was promised follow-up calls and email that never happened. I had to be calling every time I wanted to learn about the status of my process and most of the time the answers were far from clear or precise. I even received a call from one agent one day letting me know that the process was delayed and the closing wouldn't happen by the time offered initially, and then almost a couple of days later I would receive an email about the documents being ready.
Efficient, timely process. We were very happy with our refi!
