The entire process was painless. Everyone was very nice, professional and helped me with all my questions.
I was instructed to complete the closing paperwork before my ex-husband completed his portion, and was led to believe he had already completed the necessary paperwork (whether intentionally or unintentionally). My ex-husband never completed his portion, which I didn't even know was necessary to begin with (I won the house in a contentious divorce, and have the judgement which clearly states the house belongs to me).
