Faster closing process. Justin was very communicative but the paperwork showed up at closing wrong and it took several days to correct.

Joe was one of about 6 that this rating relates to. 5 others had said they were the point person and would communicate with me on a regular basis. They didn't but after a shaky start, Joe did. The underwriter Jacob Powell was professional and very thorough. I would recommend having a decision tree with names, responsibilities, and contact info for those I would work with. For the most part the process went ok closing was at first a little shaky but the gentleman that did the closing was very good
My main issue is with Billy Manapat. He under quoted by ~600 dollars and I had to pay a 25 dollar wire fee. He assured me that there was to be no money needed to close , yet there was. I do not feel like I can trust him and the 25 dollar wire fee is absurd. If this was communicated better I would not have an issue. If Pennymac could grant me a 25 dollar visa gift card to assist with the wire fee this would greatly assist.
A better experience could have been obtained by having the loan agent, Joseph Kirleis, or any other agent I may have spoken to when asked, provide me with documents in a timely manner. There were multiple times in which documentation was requested but no forms were provided to be filled out. Then when I attempted to call I would never get my loan agent on the phone, I would have to wait until the following Monday when he would call me to say "everything is going great" and I would let him know that I need paperwork and I wou... read more
