I understand that when we started the refi process that there was a surge by the number of people at the same time. It is difficult to blame workers for some of the slowness, but we started the process in late March and finished in May. Overall we are pleased.
I sent many emails that went unanswered. For instance, I asked if closing could be moved up and never received an answer. I would send an email to someone and that person would not respond. They would send me an email but it was not a response and clearly unrelated to my question. The only way I got answers to my questions was if I called which required me to be on holdx I was told different things by different people about what documents would be required. I’d say more but character limit met.
Poor communication and false information.
The day before closing I had asked if rates had gone below 2.75% and was told no. Now, maybe that was correct but the same day of closing I got a letter advertising a 2.25 rate. I wish I had known I only had 3 days to cancel this refi and I am pretty upset about it.
