I brought my dog recently for a general checkup and learned that the focus of this office is to sell drugs and dog food - not to put time into your pet.

I went there today with my 10 week old puppy. No one told me what the procedure was and when I knocked at the door a woman came out and asked who's this, I answered Oliver, she put her hand out and said stop. She instructed me to go to my car, call the clinic, and that someone would come out to my car. I said oh I didn't know, no one told me and she proceeded to tell me that there were signs everywhere except I had to park outside where there were no signs. She was just too rude for me. Horrible horrible front desk. Never had a vet front office be so rude to me when i asked them to send me medical records and invoices for my pet insurance. She was rude from the beginning and hung up on me. I will never take my wonderful dog there again.
I have taken my cats to Pet's Friend for about a dozen years. My SO has been a client for even longer: she started going to Pet's Friend perhaps 30 years ago when the clinic was on Hendy Avenue. The quality of care is excellent; we love Dr. Koski. However, both of our cats have taken ill in the last month, and the first appointment offered in each case was nine days out. I cannot explain how completely heartbroken my family is right now. Yesterday our dog ,Sally, escaped from her leash and got hit by a car on the freeway after she was done with her visit. She died from an incident that never should of happened. There should be protocol of an owner to be able to be 6ft or even 12 ft away with a mask on outside your clinic. Wow not a great first impression! I called to get a quick nail trim for my 2 dogs and to drop of stool samples for them - no exams needed, and they tell me the next available appt is in a week?? Booooooo
Beware, Unethical Veterinary Misconduct! My dog was diagnosed with Diabetes and required Vetsulin. I purchased it that day at the Animal Clinic and was advised to return for diagnostic review, in two weeks. When I brought my dog in, I forgot to bring the Vetsulin and bought another Vial of U-40 Insulinfor ~$74. Updating our last review- and dropping from 4 stars to two. It's become more clear that unfortunate this office is more about profit than properly diagnosing and treating our fur friend. We have had the same issue with our pet and have gone in three times in as many months- and they run tests each time with negative results only to prescribe some pill or ointment that has not worked. And the results are just sent via an email- no explanation no call from the dr to explain- just hand over your credit card for a huge bill each... read more
I booked an appointment for afternoon, and when we arrived there, they told me that they forgot to put me on the calendar. My dog had bad diarrhea during those day and I was very worried about if he got more than gastroenteritis. I had to see the doctor that day but they told me it is fine to revisit the next day?!!?!?! Luckily, I found the other vet that took my dog and provided treatment during that day. I will never come back again.
