I wanted to try a new Vet because my Vet does not seem to be doing anything for my dogs condition but he sure likes to charge top dollar , I was recommended this place, as a new customer I called to make an appointment, I was told it's going to be 2 weeks and I stated that the dog is in pain and not feeling good, they said It will still be 2 weeks with $140 deposit, a $140 deposit for an appointment? WTH? These Vets places are out of control, no wonder the shelters are full and pets are being put down in mass quantities. Ve... read more

In response to David Baron's (HM) response to the review below: If you look at the top of your Yelp page "About the business," Dr. Miller is cited as the business owner and it is a photo of Dr. Koski. And, please do respond by telling me what 15-year-old single strictly indoor-only cat would require a feline leukemia vaccination. What unique circumstances would require that? Ju$t one. Is the buyout jargon now stated as being "part of a larger business"? Seriously? Your note, while well written, is just nonsensical co... read more

I've used them a few times but have finally have had enough. While the care is generally fine, Pet's Friend will do everything to try and nickel and dime and upsell you. During exams, the vet will push unnecessary vaccines (e.g., a rare disease that is transmitted via stagnant pools of water), will guilt trip you if you have reservations (Are you sure? We heard another owner's dog recently got the disease...), and push to have additional procedures done. My dog had an annual check up and then needed to come back for an x-r... read more

I have an issue with their billing price changes from only approximately one month ago. Took my dog to have her anal Gland cleaned and they charged me $28.00. Today, for 10 minutes to do the same procedure, I was charged $63.00. I asked her why and was told last time they didn't charge me for technician fee, so what was the 28 00 last time?? I know you were closed due to a fire next door, but don't pad my bill to make up for being closed a couple of days. Get your numbers straight to avoid any trust issues.

Don't go. Save yourself the hassle. They don't know what they're supposed to do and found out that my cat was severely sick from an ear infection and they gave prescriptions that was not recommended for my cat. The way I found out was I went to an emergency veterinarian after my whole back to back visit with the veterinarian and med tech about my cats ear infection. On top they never cleared my cats ears so my poor baby ear was filled with build up n they told me it was clear. Waste of money n my cat suffered the consequence... read more

more concerned about the money then your pets welfare. went in for a welfare check, I had to mention the pets ears and weight problem. ( a welfare check should consist of a full visual check and not just a shot and heart worm check)The vet seemed to think it's my fault she is over weight I explained she gets 6 plus miles of walks and spends a lot of time in parks. But again vet refused to listen to me and decided to put her on a diet food. Even though I asked for a blood test. looking at her weight record should have prompte... read more

Not coming back to this vet. Dr that was seeing our cat was completely incompetent - had no sense of critical thinking. Our cat looked very sick, was in pain and had obvious infection...but the doctor send us home with prescription of laxatives (which would be appropriate if he was having the same issue as usual but not in this case). We asked to prescribe antibiotics too and thankfully she did, but sadly she didn't care much to investigate the cause of the infection and how to relieve our cat's pain. *This feedback hardly... read more

I've went and received 2nd and 3rd opinions from different vets over the last 2 years (In the Bay Area and in Canada) regarding "health issues" that Pet's Friend claimed existed for my two cats Bublé and Dominga when in fact some of them did not. I see that the vet we did have no longer works with them, so I'm glad but I still won't be coming here again. It's really off-putting that other vets I went to for more opinions didn't find that Bublé needed teeth removed nor did they find that he had a heart murmur. But of course ... read more

Horrible service - honestly disgusted by their customer service. We were 15 mins late for an appointment in the past and was turned away, which is fine - our mistake. Today 10/27, we came in for an appointment 15 mins early (2:45pm) for our 3pm appointment and they did not see us until 3:25pm. (25 mins after our appointment time). We called to see if they could update us at 3:10pm and they responded with "vet is busy with other patient, we'll check back in 5 mins." No call back at all. We called them at 3:25pm and they final... read more
