I am very disappointed with the lack of transparency and medical gaslighting. My dog developed a persistent bump on the hind leg following a routine visit for vaccines and a blood draw. After further investigation, it became clear that the staff made multiple failed attempts at the draw, eventually blowing the vein. Now, the clinic claims "a blood draw cannot cause a persistent bump." "Blood draw cannot cause persistent bump" is medically incorrect. While a simple bruise fades, a traumatic draw with significant subcutaneous... read more
Please believe the low scores. I too have taken my pet to the clinic over the years. It was previously top notch but some of the staff are now extremely rude, namely Angela. When I complained about her behavior, the vet really didn't care how rude Angela had been. The incident happened a little bit ago and I informed Angela and the vet I would not be returning. Strangely, I received an email today from the office manager, David, letting me know I have 30 more days of service with them. How hard is it to understand the... read more
Rude. Maybe cause it was a Monday, but when calling it's like you're inconveniencing them by seeking help for your pet. Amazing how fast one can leave a bad taste in your mouth. Sheesh.
Reply to the owner: If you think "limited touching" was the best you can do, you should just suggest the client to leave, instead of rushing the exam and charge 100 dollars anyway. I don't think it is fair to ask us pay another 70 dollars to finish whatever should be covered in the "unfinished" exam. It just does not make sense. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I've been taking my cats to this clinic for several years. I have to decide to look for anoth... read more

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I remember speaking with you and truly appreciate how much you care about your cat’s well being. During your visit, our doctor completed as much of the exam as your cat comfortably allowed. When a pet becomes too anxious, we sometimes have to limit handling to keep the experience safe and low-stress for everyone involved. This is part of our standard care approach and helps ensure pets continue to feel safe coming here. The pre-visit medication we recommend is meant to ... read more
Stay away from this place at all cost! It is the Kaiser of local animal hospitals. I'd leave zero stars if it were possible. We've been customers of theirs for nearly 10 years. We recently lost our 14 year old Cocker Spaniel who had chronic ear issues. We tried every treatment they suggested only for our poor girl's ears to continue getting worse to the point where they had growths in them that could not be fixed. They kept insisting it was us not taking proper care of her ears. We spent thousands of dollars trying to get ou... read more
We've been patients at this clinic for years. Our cat has chronically been itchy. Every time we asked the vets they would ask us to try a different diet to rule out allergies ... for 4 years they did this. Then, our cat suddenly fell very ill and at the ER he was diagnosed with a severe kidney problem ... and they passed away today (at the very young age of 4.5 years old). I cannot in good faith recommend this clinic. They never once suggested bloodwork to determine if there was a more serious underlying reason for our cat's... read more
I wanted to try a new Vet because my Vet does not seem to be doing anything for my dogs condition but he sure likes to charge top dollar , I was recommended this place, as a new customer I called to make an appointment, I was told it's going to be 2 weeks and I stated that the dog is in pain and not feeling good, they said It will still be 2 weeks with $140 deposit, a $140 deposit for an appointment? WTH? These Vets places are out of control, no wonder the shelters are full and pets are being put down in mass quantities. Ve... read more
Business response:
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We understand how frustrating it can be when your pet is in pain, and we want to address your concerns. The deposit policy for new clients was implemented because we've had situations where appointments were canceled at short notice. This left us with open slots that could have been used to help other pets in need. The deposit ensures that we can manage our schedule effectively and provide care to as many pets as possible. Our regular exam fee is $95.00 for a 30-minute ... read more
In response to David Baron's (HM) response to the review below: If you look at the top of your Yelp page "About the business," Dr. Miller is cited as the business owner and it is a photo of Dr. Koski. And, please do respond by telling me what 15-year-old single strictly indoor-only cat would require a feline leukemia vaccination. What unique circumstances would require that? Ju$t one. Is the buyout jargon now stated as being "part of a larger business"? Seriously? Your note, while well written, is just nonsensical co... read more

Hi Mae, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry to hear about your concerns and want to address them with compassion and transparency. To clarify, Dr. Koski is our Medical Director and continues to lead our practice with dedication. Dr. Miller left the practice in 2021, and we apologize if there was any confusion regarding their current roles. While our practice is part of a larger organization, we want to assure you that our commitment to providing compassionate and individualized patient care remains our top pr... read more
I've used them a few times but have finally have had enough. While the care is generally fine, Pet's Friend will do everything to try and nickel and dime and upsell you. During exams, the vet will push unnecessary vaccines (e.g., a rare disease that is transmitted via stagnant pools of water), will guilt trip you if you have reservations (Are you sure? We heard another owner's dog recently got the disease...), and push to have additional procedures done. My dog had an annual check up and then needed to come back for an x-r... read more
