I have always had excellent service here for my cats. They are very information and helpful every time I visit. The office and rooms are very clean. I've been to other vets and they aren't as personable with the animals or me. Once, I had a serious issue with my cats. Called in the emergency call that I needed assistance right away, and the gal came out to my car the minute I pulled up to park and grabbed my cat carrier with my cat and rushed him inside. It turned out to be nothing serious, but to go that extra effort ... read more

I'm really surprised by some of the negative reviews here, but I guess it's impossible to please everyone. I have been coming to Pet's Friend for about 10yrs. I have to say they have been AWESOME!! They truly care about people's pets. They have treated my dogs like their own. Thanks Pet's Friend for your compassion and friendliness.

This has been the vet of choice for my family's pets for many years and my mom still keeps in touch with the original owner, Dr. G. . When he sold his practice he went out of his way to find buyers that truly cared about animals as much as he did. My dog actually gets excited when she walks in the door because the staff is so warm and friendly, and this is even after she had to have surgery to remove bladder stones. My dog needs special eye drops monthly and they always place my order the same day and call me as soon as the... read more

I'm new to the area and found Pet's Friend through Yelp. I took my cat in for a check up and to get his shots and everything went well, the staff was great. Fast forward two weeks later and my cat decided to eat a hair tie. I could tell something was up so I took him back to Pet's Friend. He had to have surgery and now needs someone to watch him 24/7 for the next two weeks. I've been taking him to Pet's Friend every day for 'daycare' so they can watch him while I'm at work. They are amazing! Such a wonderful staff. They a... read more

My puggle's gums were bleeding for a couple of days and it was really hard for her to eat. Our old vet who was located in Palo Alto relocated to Castro Valley, but highly recommended Dr. Davis as a vet who would take care of Bella. She was awesome. She spent a good 20 minutes on the phone with us to ask questions prior to us going into the clinic. After our visit, even when Bella's gums got better, she called to follow up and check to see if she's doing well. If that's not awesome customer service, I don't know what is!... read more

I have been going to Pet's Friend for more than a decade, and I have found the care they have provided to both professional and tender. They also take the time to clearly inform me of my options. Highly recommended

My pup got into some stuff he shouldn't have, and had to spend a few days at the vet. We were referred to Pet's Friend by the emergency vet, who seemed quite fond of them. I can see why - the office staff was very nice and friendly, with a comforting atmosphere. Even my dog didn't do his usual 10-pounds-of-badass vet bark! I can't remember which vet we saw, but she was so nice and understanding with the stressful situation. There was no upselling here at all - in fact she recommended that I wait on a test until he was feel... read more

My animals have been clients of Pet's Friend Clinic for about 6 years and I have never had anything but wonderful compassionate care from everyone there. I now have a pit bull mix as well as three cats and I haven't found a single instance of "disdain" because I adopted this so called "dangerous" dog. They treat her as the loving friendly dog she is. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

We love this clinic and have been coming here for years.. our cats have had some minor health issues that they have given us great advise over. Also one of their vet-techs is our pet-sitter!
