Horrible service - honestly disgusted by their customer service. We were 15 mins late for an appointment in the past and was turned away, which is fine - our mistake. Today 10/27, we came in for an appointment 15 mins early (2:45pm) for our 3pm appointment and they did not see us until 3:25pm. (25 mins after our appointment time). We called to see if they could update us at 3:10pm and they responded with "vet is busy with other patient, we'll check back in 5 mins." No call back at all. I made a mistake booking online instead of calling them for my dogs rabies shot and his anal glands. When booking online it says "Online booking is available for wellness and minor medical concerns" so I figured minor medical concern would be he is going crazy with an itchy behind. I mean isn't that a "minor" medical concern? Apparently it is "regular maintenance" even though he can go months and months without needing them done. I called to try to make an appointment but whoever picked up the phone was rude and didn't even listen to what I had to say. I don't think they had any compassion and were not understanding of the situation.

Unfortunately, we will never be going back here. The staff is not trained well, they give incorrect information to clients, causing frustration and inefficiencies of customer time. We came here for an initial visit where I just needed the veterinarian to fill out a simple form for insurance. The vet was very thorough, so thorough that she listed every possible thing that could be wrong with my puppy - Mind you, not things that were ACTUALLY wrong with my puppy, but POSSIBLE issues that are common in my puppy's breed. I brought my dog recently for a general checkup and learned that the focus of this office is to sell drugs and dog food - not to put time into your pet.

I went there today with my 10 week old puppy. No one told me what the procedure was and when I knocked at the door a woman came out and asked who's this, I answered Oliver, she put her hand out and said stop. She instructed me to go to my car, call the clinic, and that someone would come out to my car. I said oh I didn't know, no one told me and she proceeded to tell me that there were signs everywhere except I had to park outside where there were no signs. She was just too rude for me. Horrible horrible front desk. Never had a vet front office be so rude to me when i asked them to send me medical records and invoices for my pet insurance. She was rude from the beginning and hung up on me. I will never take my wonderful dog there again.
I have taken my cats to Pet's Friend for about a dozen years. My SO has been a client for even longer: she started going to Pet's Friend perhaps 30 years ago when the clinic was on Hendy Avenue. The quality of care is excellent; we love Dr. Koski. However, both of our cats have taken ill in the last month, and the first appointment offered in each case was nine days out. The clinic has been overwhelmed with requests from new pet owners, and we need our loyal client base to communicate with us as you have to understand their needs and help us adjust so no on feels underserved. I cannot explain how completely heartbroken my family is right now. Yesterday our dog ,Sally, escaped from her leash and got hit by a car on the freeway after she was done with her visit. She died from an incident that never should of happened. There should be protocol of an owner to be able to be 6ft or even 12 ft away with a mask on outside your clinic.
