I have two rescue Cocker Spaniels. The service provided by the vets and staff is universally good and compassionate. We never feel rushed. All approach my very nervous younger dog kindly and appropriately. They also refer elsewhere as needed: My younger dog has had two leg surgeries and a cataract surgery at other facilities on the Peninsula. It's usually possible to get a next day appointment. There is a decent amount of parking outside the clinic.
Do you ever wonder where veterinarians take their own pets for high-quality care? In the Bay Area, this would be Pet's Friend Animal Clinic! I choose to bring my pets here because the clinic is organized, has typed medical records, a well-trained and supportive staff, and very intelligent and compassionate doctors who communicate well (Dr. Koski, Dr. Moore, Dr. Miller, Dr. Davidson, and Dr. Justine Ma). Because outstanding medical care is an investment, I have all of my pets insured. Yes, even me as a veterinarian from anoth... read more
Business response:
Thank you for your very kind comments, GG - we are humbled by your review, particularly since you are very familiar with the complexity of delivering veterinary care. And we totally agree with your advice regarding pet insurance. We also know that pet insurance allows pet owners to select the optimal care for their beloved companions, from preventive well-care to emergency care and advanced medicine delivered by veterinary specialists (including dentistry!). Thank you for reminding owners of this important option to protect ... read more
This is one of the best animal clinics I've taken an animal to. Took a dog in who gets very scared at the vet but the doc was very kind and gentle sitting on the floor getting acquainted with him-didn't take long for him to calm! The decor is cheerful, and the staff and techs all great attitudes and friendly!
Business response:
Thank you for your kind feedback - you made our day! We are honored that you trust us with your beloved companion. Please don't hesitate to call us if you are ever in need of our services or advice.
I can't say enough positive things about my experience with Pet's Friend Animal Clinic. I was hooked when Dr. Koski came in and then sat on the floor the whole visit with my dog!
I had a wonderful experience at this vet today. A special thank you goes to Dr. Moore (and Robin, Sheryl, Richard, and another woman whose name I unfortunately missed) who has exemplary "bedside" manner and was so clear in her explanation of possible diagnoses. I am an obsessive pet parent so I am elated to observe that the entire care team is so diligent.
Beautiful facility, caring staff! I was visiting on behalf of Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice and the receptionists were so friendly!
My dog absolutely hates going to the vet. And with all the misdiagnoses from his old vet I can't blame him. They put him through a lot. His best friend recommended Pet's Friend and we are so happy he did. They are the best! The doctors are all experienced and know what they are doing. Everyone is caring and compassionate. They greet both of us and are understanding of his fears. He loves Dr. Koski so much he actually fell asleep during his last procedure there! That has never happened! I highly recommend this place and only ... read more
Pet's Friend and Dr Allison Moore have been more than a friend to me and my black cat Buddy for the past 8 years. Every year we would go for his annual check up. Buddy and I have always been treated with love, care and affection by Dr Moore and the entire staff, the technicians and the front desk. They saw him as a furry child and cherished him as much as I did. Alas, Buddy recently passed away from a sudden illness and they jumped thru hoops to be there every step of the way for both of us. Even sending a hand written cond... read more
Business response:
Caroline - We know how much it hurts to loose a beloved companion. You were so dedicated to Buddy and he was lucky to have you to spend his life in a sphere of love. We all send our thoughts to you as you grieve Buddy's passing. You will see him again over the Rainbow Bridge when the time is right.
Vets: 5-stars, super communicative, clear, fair-priced. Trainer: Jen is the best dog trainer there is. If I could give her 10 stars, I would. She helped us so much with our boxer pup even though we weren't able to finish the classes. She knows dogs and is not afraid to prompt shy owners if need be. Vet experience: Overall good, prompt service. VERY late review but we actually took our dog here in 2017 for an eventual emergency. We had to have him sent to Campbell to see a specialist as it was a Saturday but our poor pup w... read more
