AVOID AT ALL COSTS THESE PEOPLE ARE DECEIVING called ahead to see if they work with my insurance. They said "yes." Why would I call unless I needed to know if they are an in-network provider? They said "yes" to get me in the door. Three weeks later I have a bill for $300, as my insurance paid $0. When I called today to express my disappointment, the receptionist hung up on me.

Business response:

We're sorry you're frustrated with your billing experience, Sid. If you'd like, we'd be happy to put you in contact with our Quality & Compliance team. Please send us a private message on Yelp or reach out to us at patientservices@visitphysicians.com so we can protect your privacy. Unfortunately, health care insurance is complicated - even if we have a contract with the insurance company, there are multiple plan types and employer arrangements that affect whether our clinic is in-network. We encourage our patients to confir... read more

I would NOT recommend seeing a doctor at Physician's Immediate Care. I went in for a sinus infection and ended up with a BIG bill. During my visit, I asked questions about how the service would be billed to my insurance no one could give me a definitive answer. The doctor prescribed me a nasal spray, even though I indicated that nasal sprays have not been successful for me in the past. I knew I needed an antibiotic and the doctor told me I had to be sick for 7-10 days before she would prescribe one. I left the office still s... read more

Business response:

We know when you're sick, you just want to feel better fast. Antibiotics aren't always the answer, and overuse can cause your body to become resistant. So our providers exercise some necessary caution when prescribing antibiotics. We'd be happy to connect you with our billing team to review and help clarify any charges that your insurance plan didn't cover. Please send us a private message on Yelp or reach out to us at patientservices@visitphysicians.com so we can protect your privacy. Thank you.

I'm reposting my review, it seems for some reason I am being filtered out even though I am a real customer/patient!!! 6/19/2012 I do have to say the doctor was very nice and helpful. However, the visit was very expensive. I had a small skin abscess and pain, so I felt I couldn't wait until Tuesday (holiday weekend). I was going back in forth in my head about going to Target clinic or here. In hindsight, I should've gone to Target clinic, great care and lower cost no matter whether it's a weekend or holiday weekend! The visit... read more

Be careful when you pay! Upfront I have to say that the doctor and nurse who saw me for heart palpitations were fantastic. And they called my primary to compare EKG results. I felt good about the care I got and how fast it was to get since my primary was booked and I did not want to go to ER. BUT... it was the experience after that that was horrendous. I got a letter in the mail saying I owed them $475 not covered by insurance and they were going to take it out of my acct (first note - give them a credit card for co-pay, N... read more

Business response:

I came here for help with stomach issues after a trip to South America. I left with a whole other problem. The person who took my blood hit a nerve in my arm, because she insisted on taking the blood from my forearm - not the vein in the crease of my elbow where I ALWAYS have blood taken from. And she wouldn't listen to my suggestion to take it from the vein in the crease of my elbow. And she didn't care when I told her my hand was tingling. Now, with a HUGE 4 inch bruise pressuring a nerve, my whole arm is tingling, pa... read more

Business response:

I came in because I felt like I was coming down with the flu and wanted confirmation. As it turned out I didn't have the flu but the Dr. insisted running several other tests, including an EKG, to determine why I was feeling lightheaded. After reviewing my EKG the Dr. urged me to go to the ER because it appeared I had an enlarged heart and irregular heartbeat. Obviously not something that you want to hear. After going to the ER at Rush and their Dr. running the same test, he determined that there was nothing wrong with th... read more

Do not go here! They are not doctors, everyone gets charged $250.00 even if you have insurance. They will not see you if you don't provide a credit card. They will never, send you a bill. I was charged $250.00 for a migraine and was treated the worst I have ever, ever been. When I asked why I was charged this, they informed me that they submit once to a patients insurance company and if they don't respond, you are charge. Well, I called my insurance company and they have NO INFORMATION OF A SUBMITTAL. I walked in one... read more

Be careful going here!! I've been going here years, and have bee overall satisified. However, i was told that they recently changed their policy and require a credit card from you before you are seen or they refuse to see you. I know about health care laws and requirements, so I confirmed that I am a legal US citizen, have proof of insurance, and was prepared to pay my copay at the time of service (all required by law). I also asked why a credit card was required from the patient before medical treatment. Here's what ... read more

So I went to this place, even after reading the bad reviews on Yelp - mostly because it was the most convenient for me. I've had this terrible cough for about a month and it's been getting worse even after I've been taking cough medicine. So I go to PIC this morning and walk in and Monique is working the welcome desk. I told her I didn't have an insurance card with me (I'm under my parents' insurance still) but that I had all the information with me. She kindly said she couldn't accept that because they needed a copy for the... read more
