I was in an auto accident, but walked away without any apparent injuries, so rather than going to the ER, I was advised by my primary care doctor (who couldn't see my right away), to visit an urgent care clinic to get checked out for any possible head, neck or spine injuries. When I went to Immediate Care - Edgewater I was told that they had a policy that patients in auto accidents were required to pay out of pocket, regardless if they had health insurance and/or auto medical insurance coverage. Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry we could not accept your insurance. By law, if a patient is involved in a car accident, the responsible party is their auto insurance, not their medical insurance. Therefore, all patients who have been in an automobile accident must pay at the time of service, and submit the receipt to their auto insurance for reimbursement.

I went in to have a rash looked at, thinking maybe what I had might be contagious. The health practitioner was able to rule out impetigo or ring-worm but beyond that had no idea what my rash was. I was given two standard prescriptions which were stabs in the dark at best. Prescriptions without a diagnosis? I didn't have them filled. If I had, the bill would have amounted to $85 out of pocket. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!!!!! I am updating my review. Here is the edit: I took the medicine that the doctor prescribed me but it made me feel sick so I called and asked for an alternative medication. Typically that wouldn't be an issue with any doctor (i've done it before when the dosage of medication was too high). The nurse told me that in order to get a new prescription, I need to come into the clinic to get re-diagnosed and then I can be written a new prescription. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I went with my boyfriend because he had multiple rib fractures and needed urgent care. The first time we went, it was fine, and we were seen relatively quickly. They asked him to return for a follow up the next week, and he went back in, and waited over 3 HOURS to see someone. He sat there with 5 healing broken ribs, in pain, and was told repeatedly, as he went up to the counter, that there were people ahead of him. Finally they saw him after 3 hours. If getting labs done here, you will need to confirm several times, it took three in my case, that they cannot help you.

What a waste of time! DO NOT GO HERE. I called this location in advance to verify they could help with my issue, and they said no problem of course they could but to try the CVS walk-in first because they were very busy. I tried the CVS walk-in, waited for 3 hours and they couldn't help with my issues (a very limited facility) so I ended up back with Physicians Immediate Care anyway. Went in with a sore throat and had the nurse test me for strep. She barely touched the back of my throat when she was taking a swab for the rapid strep test. The doctor came in, sat in the corner chair relaxed and told me it was negative. I informed him that I have had strep many times before (I am a teacher) and that I am pretty sure I know it is strep. I went to Physicians Immediate Care for a physical today. The service was quick and friendly by the staff at the front desk and nurses. They all get 5 stars in my book. Dr. Brian Hughes, though. He's the reason I'm giving this place a 1 star. People come here to see a doctor and if he's as unfriendly, unprofessional, and robotic as Hughes is, then it's best to find another place. Came here today because my friend has been sick for over a week and it was to the point her ears were in so much pain she asked me to drive her. We arrived and as she was filling out paperwork a man walks in and states to the whole waiting room that he doesn't want to be there and proceeds to walk into the back.
