Unfortunately, my first visit to the Edgewater location of Physicians Immediate Care will also be my last. Awful place. Does unnecessary things and makes people extremely uncomfortable. Doctor didn't explain anything they were doing and didn't allow phone use at ALL in room.

Update: Got a reply to my review, as you can see they asked me to send an email. Did so last week and still haven't received a phone call. Not surprised by their lack of response. Not sure if this person Maureen K is an actual person. I feel that they post this on their negative reviews to "appear" like they are concerned and that they "take patient quality of care concerns very seriously" ...apparently not.

Absolutely the most terrible, degrading, condescending experience I've ever had. The doctor even called me "sweetheart" (in a demeaning way) and said "look little girl.." before he began to explain to me why he will not prescribe me medicine for a UTI before I'm about to leave the country because, quote, "my body gets them for a reason". EXCUSE ME??? Never going back, and still have the heebie jeebies from the experience.

This is a clean facility, but I found the staff to be very detached. I was curious what type of medical care professionals likes to perform this type of factory based service on patients. I reasoned that it's really no different from ER doctors and staff that care for patients for a few hours and don't hear from them again. However, when I called to say that my UTI symptoms returned after the antibiotics that I was prescribed were finished I was told I would have to return for a urine culture. I want to start by saying I give doctors and nurses a lot of credit. I couldn't do there job for a second and what they do is such a hard job. But, that being said if you don't know what you are doing you shouldn't be acting like you do- especially around patients. My Mom and I went there last week because she had spilled boiling water on her leg and foot. It had been two weeks and it didn't look like it was getting any better. Service on site was lovely, misdiagnosed per my GP, but lovely and attentive. Billing service, let the buyer beware. Sadly, while fevered and lacking oxygen, I signed paperwork allowing them to deduct whatever was left after insurance from my bank account. Apparently a notice went out stating this was happening, but since i signed that was the only approval needed. I'm upset with them because they ran unnecessary tests. I had an over the counter urinary infection kit that came back positive. They said they'd have to run the test at the hospital (really?! I'm doubled over in pain, what's the harm in giving me antibiotics?). That test came back positive (surprise). But they had to send a culture to an outside lab?!
