I have been here twice, both times with bad experiences. First, I had a severe infection and the doctor prescribed penicillin. Later, after being hospitalized for this infection, the doctor told me that this treatment might have worked in the 1950s. The second time I left because it was going to be a 3.5 hour wait. Furthermore, the desk staff is always terrible, no matter who it is. I'm not sensitive or anything ing, they're just really rude.

On a Saturday morning, I went to Physicians Immediate Care - Edgewater, I waited almost two hours to be seen, but eventually I was seen and I tested positive for Strep Throat. I went on antibiotics immediately. Four days later, I had no improvement, my throat was still swollen and it was hard to swallow. I am a freshmen out of state college student who had the flu, the first day I came in I had a women doctor who was very friendly and helpful and prescribed me with medicine that has helped my recovery however I came in again 2 days later due to a persistent cough that prevented me from doing anything and I had Dr Hughs this day. My experience with setting up the appointment and the front desk staff is great and efficient. However, I've seen Dr. Hughes a couple of times and it seems his go-to prescription is over-the-counter recommendations on what you should be taking. In the past, I have let this go and have had to let the symptoms get worse, return, and then be treated appropriately. Doctors here should not be in practice in this locations. On 3-28 19 went there for a on job back injury.Literally I barely could stand up getting off the chair in front of DR the pain was so intense. I could not lay on the table to get get a xray and had to xray standing up.the DR told me to go back to work the next day with pretty much all restrictions besides sneezing.The next day I got another opinion from a orthopedic surgeon and he commented that DR that said that should not be in practice.He immediately gave me 3 wee... read more

Dr. Hughes made me very uncomfortable the entire visit. He stood extremely close to me to the point that I wanted the door open. Not only was I uncomfortable, but he was condescending and spoke to me like I was a child. He was very rude and short and at one point, he interrupted me and said "stop talking you haven't told me what's wrong yet." Unfortunately, my first visit to the Edgewater location of Physicians Immediate Care will also be my last. I have never written a bad review in my life and am hesitant to do so, but my poor experience here urged me to write this. For some brief context, I visited one evening for an ear infection. Awful place. Does unnecessary things and makes people extremely uncomfortable. Doctor didn't explain anything they were doing and didn't allow phone use at ALL in room.
