I am a freshmen out of state college student who had the flu, the first day I came in I had a women doctor who was very friendly and helpful and prescribed me with medicine that has helped my recovery however I came in again 2 days later due to a persistent cough that prevented me from doing anything and I had Dr Hughs this day. My experience with setting up the appointment and the front desk staff is great and efficient. However, I've seen Dr. Hughes a couple of times and it seems his go-to prescription is over-the-counter recommendations on what you should be taking. In the past, I have let this go and have had to let the symptoms get worse, return, and then be treated appropriately. Doctors here should not be in practice in this locations. On 3-28 19 went there for a on job back injury.Literally I barely could stand up getting off the chair in front of DR the pain was so intense. I could not lay on the table to get get a xray and had to xray standing up.the DR told me to go back to work the next day with pretty much all restrictions besides sneezing.The next day I got another opinion from a orthopedic surgeon and he commented that DR that said that should not be in practice.He immediately gave me 3 wee... read more

Dr. Hughes made me very uncomfortable the entire visit. He stood extremely close to me to the point that I wanted the door open. Not only was I uncomfortable, but he was condescending and spoke to me like I was a child. He was very rude and short and at one point, he interrupted me and said "stop talking you haven't told me what's wrong yet." Unfortunately, my first visit to the Edgewater location of Physicians Immediate Care will also be my last. I have never written a bad review in my life and am hesitant to do so, but my poor experience here urged me to write this. For some brief context, I visited one evening for an ear infection. Awful place. Does unnecessary things and makes people extremely uncomfortable. Doctor didn't explain anything they were doing and didn't allow phone use at ALL in room.

Update: Got a reply to my review, as you can see they asked me to send an email. Did so last week and still haven't received a phone call. Not surprised by their lack of response. Not sure if this person Maureen K is an actual person. I feel that they post this on their negative reviews to "appear" like they are concerned and that they "take patient quality of care concerns very seriously" ...apparently not.

Absolutely the most terrible, degrading, condescending experience I've ever had. The doctor even called me "sweetheart" (in a demeaning way) and said "look little girl.." before he began to explain to me why he will not prescribe me medicine for a UTI before I'm about to leave the country because, quote, "my body gets them for a reason". EXCUSE ME??? Never going back, and still have the heebie jeebies from the experience.
