Immediate MD gets two thumbs up, one each for a different reason. 1. Customer service. Having never been to one of these types of facilities, I was expecting the worst (mitigated somewhat by the outstanding Yelp rating). Great service, easy and free parking, and extremely competent staff! I've gone to numerous urgent care offices, Target, Walgreens, and Lakeview Immediate Care. This is hands-down the best urgent care I've been to. Plus - a CVS across the street, which was much faster and less frenzied than the my neighborhood Walgreens.

I went there Saturday afternoon about 1PM. No wait. The person at the front desk was nice, the nurse was awesome and the doctor was great too. I've never done the "urgent care" thing before, but I'll definitely be back if I need assistance quickly and don't want to wait to see my doctor.

Thanks to yelp, I went here yesterday with my boyfriend because he's been broken for months now but refused to go to a doctor. Let me just say that the staff here and the place in general is a blessing to people like him who do not have health insurance. We were greeted by Ashley and had to fill out a few papers. Since there was no one there, he was able to go in a few minutes after. I sat in the waiting room and talked off Ashley's ear for about 30-45 minutes. I had a pleasant visit today at Immdiate MD in North Center. People were friendly and caring. My issue was treated in an excellent, thorough manner by the staff and Dr. Macumber. The place is very clean and orderly. Water and single cup beverages are available in the waiting room, as is a TV. I filled out standard forms and was soon treated. Great place. Really clean, spacious, and friendly. I sprained my ankle and they were very quick to help. I was in and out within an hour. They have an X-Ray onsite, which saved us another trip that we would have had to have done later. I will definitely go back there if needed.

Unfortunately I have had to visit this clinic twice in the last two weeks. First, for one of my sons, and this morning, for me. The convenience of it cannot be beat as the clinic is within limping distance of my house though I did notice an abundance of free parking just north of the clinic. Location aside, though, the staff and the doctors could not have been more courteous or more professional. I highly recommend Immediate MD North Center for your urgent, but not emergency health care needs. For my $10 copay (as if visiting a primary doc), I was very well taken care of in a very short amount of time. They even called me the next day to check-in on me. My primary doc doesn't even do that. They were caring, knowledgeable and thorough. I even got labs done. Don't hesitate to go there!
