When I visited this location on July 21, 2024 I was charged $165 on the spot for my visit. I was confused because I have insurance, this facility is in-network and I was sick. I later found out that their billing system had issues confirming patient information with Blue Cross Blue Shield on the weekends, so they billed people out-of-pocket when this happened. Went in October 13 with a raging sinus infection including infected ear and sore throat/cough. I was given multiple swab tests, then I was examined... and sent away with a few common sense home remedies typed on a sheet of paper. No medication. No Covid test. Tried a few times over the next couple of days to find out my test results but couldn't get through to anyone in the office or organization to find them out - but I eventually gave up when I realized that there was no way to actually contact them directly. Front desk customer service associate earns this place a star because she was efficient and nice. They ran out of drug screening cups so I couldn't do the only thing I came here for. I even selected it as an option online while reserving a time slot. This is the only place close to me so now I have to go a long way out of my way for a screening.
I'm grateful that Physicians Immediate Care in Chicago was there when I needed urgent care (I was visiting from out of state and got the worst sore throat ever), but my experience left much to be desired. The facility was less than ideal; the interior seemed a bit unkempt and the inclusion of a snack basket in the waiting room was somewhat off-putting. Do not come here. Was told to come back the next day for X-ray. When I came back they told me they do not do them at all. I've been in pain and they were rude and unhelpful. When I told them I had one done last year they said that was last year. Avoid the place!!! For real
If I could give zero stars I would. Horrible customer service from the receptionist.
Came in to see if I have strep throat. 1 hour after my appointment time I am still waiting. When I asked, I was informed that the appointment time you reserve online isn't really an appointment. It just places you in line ahead of a walk in. Further explanation: "We only have one physician and one tech so it's impossible for us to see everyone on time." So much for "immediate." Good place if you need same day PCR. For other medical care I will use Northwestern urgent care in the future.
This place is awful. The front desk person was rude and extremely unhelpful. I arrived with an appointment and after waiting an hour, I asked when I might see someone. She said she had no idea there is only one Dr on staff. When I asked her why she didn't explain the wait to me she said "because you didn't ask". Went here recently with abdominal pain. Doctor was kind but dismissive and made note numerous times of closing soon. They told me I shouldn't worry it's likely a stomach ulcer or something minor. They gave me an antacid concoction that immediately made me throw up and sent me on my way. The next day the pain grew and after a trip to the ER it turned out I had appendicitis and needed to be rushed into surgery.
