Office demands copay when my insurance confirmed no copay is required.
I was incorrectly charged for a visit on 8/1/24. My insurance has paid in-full the allowable amounts. I have made 3 phone calls to WellNow to request reimbursement and sent 2 emails to their email. Every time I call the 800 # I am told a check should be arriving soon or that I would receive a call back. Neither has happened. Went to wellnow for sons apt. ************* card was lost we still havemt recieved a new card . Was told by staff they do not look up insurances. I brought my daughter in for a physical and was up charged for a different service then sent a bill for the difference. When I tried to inquire about the discrepancy and why it wasn't billed to our insurance, the billing department lacked training, follow through, and customer service. Billing department is a scam. Their systems are extremely faulty. Took my daughter for a sports physical, which required prepayment prior to even being checked in. I did that and received a receipt. Then 2 weeks after the visit I was sent a bill. They mixed up patient numbers and could not be resolved by proactively calling. I received a bill from WellNow in July for services rendered over 2 1/2 years prior. I called to find out what it was for and was told they were re-filing with my insurance and not to pay the bill. I then received another bill on 9/7 stating that I still owed the money only to find out that they sent it to collections on 9/6, the day before I got the bill. I received an invoice and promptly paid it. One month later I received another bill saying my account was overdue. I have spoken to three different people and was told the receipt they provided me when I paid the bill was not acceptable proof of payment. What??? Makes no sense to me. I then had to send them a copy of my credit card statement proving I charged the payment. I was told they have to research this and make sure the payment was actually made.
