Pies ’n Thighs opened in 2006, in the shadow of the Williamsburg Bridge. We took over a beer storage closet in the and transformed it into a tiny kitchen with six stools, serving huge donuts, two-napkin smoked pork sandwiches and salty, crispy fried chicken. The New York Times called the pies and the thighs a compelling combination, well executed and put forth with real heart—the sort of restaurant that’s hard to find, especially in the big city, but easy to love once found.

We loved everything about this place. Cool vibes, great food, charming staff. 5 stars!!!!
The food here is oh my gosh so good if you're in New York and you're craving some southern food this is the spot to go. I always make it my business to take a trip to Brooklyn so I can have Pies n Thighs. It's a small restaurant, but please go there with a big appetite because they're gonna feed you. I do recommend making a reservation.
Yes to pies and thighs! The best apple pie Ive ever had. Highly recommend this place for all your "big back" cravings.
(3.5 out of 5 stars) I've been hearing about Pies 'n' Thighs for a while and finally gave it a shot through Uber Eats. The experience was a mix of great and just okay. Fried Chicken - Big win here. Super juicy and flavorful with a nice crispy crust. The drumsticks were HUGE--seriously, almost turkey leg-sized. A bit much for me, but still delicious. Cornbread - Loved it. Sweet, soft, and moist. No complaints. One of the highlights of the meal. Mac & Cheese - This was a major miss. Overcooked, mushy, and almost no chee... read more
I had the coconut lime donut, which was packed with flavor and had just the right amount of crisp on top. However, the center was dense and dry, so it was literally a little hard to swallow. Unfortunately, the whole dining experience was lacking. First, someone in the dining room was blasting their phone out loud without speakers, which made me not want to sit inside. In such a small space, someone being selfish with their speakerphone ruins the experience, at least for someone like me who thinks people shouldn't be selfish... read more
my first time there, I am from Atlanta and the fish and grits(catfish) fried perfect and the biscuit reminds me the flying biscuit in atlanta was awesome. we got the donut and cinnamon roll to go. we will be back,
When you're looking for some southern comfort food and want to indulge, Pies 'n' Thighs is a great choice. I initially went because my dad saw it on Guy Fieri's "Diners Drive Ins and Dives" so I wasn't sure what to expect but, it truly exceeded my expectations. The service is quick and the dining area is small and casual. I ordered the catfish box which comes with your choice of sides. The biscuits, greens, mac & cheese, and potatoes are all well seasoned, warm, and filling. It was one of those meals that's so good, you'll w... read more
4.5/5 -- any place called pies and thighs is a place I must visit. They have pies, they have fried chicken, they have brunch options, they have an excellent non alcoholic and alcoholic drink menu, they have a happy hour what is not to love. The staff are friendly, the restaurant is cute and the food is tasty. Great, casual, neighborhood spot!
Heard about Pies n Thighs for years but never tried it. Last year, when Carboholic posted about the cinnamon roll, I made a note to try it and today, I finally went! The cinnamon roll was sweet, but not too sweet, and it was moist. The waffle was fluffy, and the plant-based chicken had great flavor. The biscuit was flaky yet firm.
