About this business
Pies ’n Thighs opened in 2006, in the shadow of the Williamsburg Bridge. We took over a beer storage closet in the and transformed it into a tiny kitchen with six stools, serving huge donuts, two-napkin smoked pork sandwiches and salty, crispy fried chicken. The New York Times called the pies and the thighs a compelling combination, well executed and put forth with real heart—the sort of restaurant that’s hard to find, especially in the big city, but easy to love once found.

It's been more then a few years since I first reviewd this spot & am so happy a friend suggested it this past weekend. It probably helped we were both starving! The portions & flavor are still spot on. The chicken n waffles was just perfection, we chomped down our meals & were licking fingers repeatedly. Noise level ranges from quiet to semi loud but don't let that dissuade you, the food is awesome!
Ive heard about pies n thighs for years but just never tried it , but then when the carboholic posted about the cinnamon roll last year I intentionally put pies n thighs on my radar and today i finally tried it! cinnamon roll was sweet not too sweet and not dry at all! waffle was fluffy and the plant based chicken flavorful as well as the flaky yet firm biscuit

Was on an adventure to a different brunch spot this day but saw the name and had to stop in ! It did not disappoint ! They have great options for vegetarians and the meal was quite filling ! It doesn't look like much but it's really worth it. The service was quick- had to wait for a few for a clean table but they were busy ! Super friendly staff and the customers seemed to be enjoying themselves as well. Definitely a local fave I can tell.

I've been wanting to come to Pies n Thighs for years and just never got the chance to.Finally on my birthday weekend I was able to go and was so excited at the thought! Lol! It was a beautiful day out and they had two tables set up outside, which I was willing to sit at, but luckily, when we asked how long was the wait was it wasn't long at all because a party just had gotten up so my friends and I got very lucky! Freaking delicious! I've been in NYC for vacation and the food has been okay, but Pies n Thighs changed things. The cozy and friendly ambiance was perfect for the cold weather. I really liked the staff's friendliness and they knew spanish wich was good! I ordered coffee with almond milk and it was probably the best coffee I've had in my stay at Brooklyn no kidding. For brunch I got the Hippie Banjo with bacon and gosh I devoured the whole thing! The bacon was crispy, the bread gorgeously toasted and buttery. The egg was jus... read more
