My black lab has been seeing both Dr Shapiro and Dr Engelsgjerd since she was 9 weeks old. We love the office staff and these veterinarians. They're always available for questions or concerns. They treat Nyx as if she were part of their family

I drive all the way from San Francisco to bring my pup here and I've been very happy with them. It started when all the vets in SF told me they were booked up for 1-2 months due to Covid. I decided to look further afield and randomly picked this place from Yelp. Am very glad I did! + lots of parking close to entrance + great covid policies, you call when you arrive and they'll come out to fetch your animal, then the vet will call you on phone + flexible and try to accommodate your animal. I've been going here since 2005. The staff are great and have become family! They know how to work with different types (protection, etc.) of dogs. If you are looking for a vet in the Tri-Valley, I would highly recommend Pleasanton Veterinary Hospital, based on price, quality of service and professionalism.

Dogs, Cats, Hamsters, Lizards, all of the little creatures are welcome here- scales, fur, it doesn't matter. Out first visit here was a wonderful experience. I called to see if they treat reptiles (exotic pets), and fortunately they do. They are very polite and accommodating on the phone. Our bearded dragon needed his claws trimmed, so we scheduled a check up and trim. I am thrilled with PVH! I am a first time pet owner (Cat). I am grateful to have found PVH from the onset. I adopted my cat at the SPCA (Burlingame) and PVH offers a free Wellness check for adopted pets. We switched to Pleasanton Veterinary Hospital after our random and sad experience of having to put down our cat. They just happened to be open when our normal hospital where we board our cat was typically closed on the weekend. Once we experienced the amazing empathy and professionalism, we quickly decided to make the switch. Highly recommend using this hospital- very professional, very kind, very thorough in their follow-up after visits and... open on weekends.

I've been meaning to write a review since I took my cat a while ago. Dr. Shapiro is sooo awesome!!! I've been to / have switched many vets over the years and this place is one of a kind. All the vet hospitals I've been to seem to be money hungry / don't seem too care too much about animals... she never made us feel rushed, like she actually cared and made my kitty as comfy as possible. I completely trust ALL of the staff . The ladies in the front have everything streamlined and are so welcoming. The veterinary technicians and doctors are fantastic. Everyone is so gentle. Very informative and honest prices as well. My dogs are very comfortable when we visit because of them all.

Dr. Shapiro is simply the best! She is so kind and gentle and makes my cat feel very comfortable (and me too!) The women at the front are also very welcoming and sweet. You can tell everyone who works there is very happy and loves what they do. My cat was struggling with a possible FRV eye flare up for a few months and Dr. Shapiro helped get it under control. I really trust her and will continue to bring my cat here for as long as I can. Thank you Dr. Shapiro and Pleasanton Vet Family for all you do!
