My family have been bringing our dogs (Buddy, Kayla and Elle) to Pleasanton Vet for many years now. We found Pleasanton vet after losing our pet, Freddie, and having such a traumatizing experience at another Vet clinic in the area. The entire staff at PVH are wonderful! You can clearly see that they love what they do and that they truly strive to provide the best care for your fur babies. Yes, their prices are not the cheapest, but come on! The quality of service that they provide is well worth it. Thank you, Pleasanton ... read more
The staff at Pleasanton Veterinary Hospital were absolutely fantastic, especially Dr. Atkins. I had an emergency with my cat after getting off a flight at SFO. I was moving to the Bay area and needed to find a vet after the flight. My cat is 14 and did not respond well to the sedative. She was dehydrated, confused and very upset. I called the hospital and they told me to come in immediately. I was seen as soon as I walked in the door and Dr. Atkins was very detailed in her examination of my cat. She explained all possibi... read more
I won't write a long review because I am not much of a writer however I have experienced multiple Vet hospitals over the years and I have never been so pleased as now. My 2 dogs have been going here for about 4-5 years now and we have seen a handful of Doctors all of which have been fabulous. My favorite Doctors are Atkins and Godfrey as they both as so sweet to my dogs. Although they may not remember my dogs from the last time they saw them they sure do act like they remember them. My 2 dogs are my children so its critic... read more
I had never been to this vet prior to 8/15/14, but as always when you have children things happen. My cat ISIS had been down for a couple of days and due to work constraints I was not able to take her to my regular vet. This did not present any problem for Pleasanton Vet Hospital, they got us in within the hour. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. All the info was straight forward including the cost of what they were doing for her, NO SUPRISES at the end of the visit. They are most definatly on my Christmas l... read more
Ive been taking all of our animals to PVH for many years. I think the Dr's are very caring and genuinely care about your pets so the 4 stars is for the service. I would give 2 stars for pricing. I strongly agree with all of the comments about the prices they charge for prescriptions. My dog has had arthritis after having 2 knee surgeries on his hind legs. I was subscribed a regimen of drugs that the Dr told me would not be expensive since he would be on them for life. The initial subscription was an acceptable amount. Come r... read more
Dr. Godfrey and the staff at Pleasanton Veterinary Hospital are great with cats and people! Visits to the vet can be painful and expensive, but I feel confident and know that my cat (and my family's cats) are well cared for, and I don't mind paying for that. Thanks, Dr. Godfrey and the lovely front-desk people!
The people here care as much about your pets as you do! I had a routine appointment for one of my great danes Thursday afternoon. As I was waiting for her blood test results 2 different families brought in dogs that were clearly at the end of their lives. Both families were understandably distraught. The staff had the exam rooms ready when the families came in. The families were guided to the rooms by the ladies at the front counter. These amazing women treated the families in the most caring and loving manner. I could not h... read more
We recently moved here with with our precious Aussie. He was 9 years old. The best dog ever. Unexpectadly last week he did not look well, I took him to Pleasanton Veterinary Hospital. I had not even got round to registering him at a vet yet, but called and Dr Godfrey saw him right away. We lost our precious boy that day, Dr Godfrey found that he had a tumour on his heart and did everything she possibly could to help him. The care that was received from all at Pleasanton Veterinary Hospital was amazing. Thank you to every... read more
Our family has been taking our pets here for many years, and we love the team here. In 2013 we lost our family dog and cat (both due to old age at different times) after wonderful care by Pleasanton Veterinary. They took such good care in keeping them healthy and living long lives, and when the time came, making them both comfortable as they reached their final days and weeks. When we had to take them in they took good care of us and our guys as we had to let them go. On a MUCH happier side of things, our animals from... read more
