Polaris EPIC 8520 robotic cleaner
The robot has done a fantastic job. It doesn’t have a tail that sprays the windows as it cleans and picks up 3times the mess on the bottom of the pool.

The only issue I have with the 8520 is the electrical cord gets twisted very easy and it is difficult to get untwisted.

Here are some suggestions to improve the cord tangling issue: 1) Remove the cleaner from the pool and lay the cable across the pool deck to relieve coiled memory. 2) Allow the cleaner cable to enter the pool at the center of the length of the pool 3) Only use enough cable to reach the farthest point from the cable entry location 4) Gently toss the necessary cable across the pool water for even distribution instead of dropping the cable in a lump in one spot. I’ve owned several different automatic pool cleaners over the last 20 years, pressure booster powered models, suction powered models and electric/electronic models. Our new Polaris Epic is by far the best of all. It’s model name is very appropriate, because it gives Epic results. It works great. I drop it in and in about 2 hours the whole pool is clean. Does a great job on the walls also. I have used it for about a month with no problems. Some people said they have issues with the cable getting tangled, but I have not had an issue with this.
