COMPARED TO THE 6 YEAR OLD CLEANER I REPLACED, THE 8640 IS BETTER IN EVERY WAY. - DEBRIS CATCHER IS EASY TO OPEN, DUMP, AHD CLEAN - EASIER TO LIFT OUT OF POOL. - MOVES FASTER - MAYBE 20 PERCENT - CLEANS BETTER - MAYBE 40 PERCENT INCLUDING WALLS - EXHAUST WATER PROVIDES DOWN FORCE - WOW !! - CORD DOESN'T GET KNOTTED - UP - 100 PERCENT SATISFIED !!

I love the Polaris Epic cleaner. The only issue I have experienced is the basket needs to be tightly secured before putting the cleaner in the pool or the basket will float away. This could just be the operator!

I had a Polaris for 13 yrs. Then bought another brand which is sitting in my garage. Only used 4 times Now I have Polaris and is easier except for cord Old model was very easy to wind up cord - more flexible. It takes me about 10 mins to wind keeps falling of hook.
