Better than having to do it myself but does not clean as well as I hoped. Also, the controls should be better.

Epic8640 does a great job. I have a vInyl lined pool and at times it has a slight problem cleaning the seams in the vinyl but if I brush the seams before starting, it does fine. I am happy

The robot works great. The only minor negative is that the cord from the base to the robot is cumbersome to wrap and store.

I like the vacuum cleaner overall. However, I live in an area where it is cooler in April when I like to open my in-ground pool. I discovered that when the water temperature is below 70 degrees, the vacuum cleaner is unable to climb the walls or do waterline cleaning. So, this feature is lost to me during the first month of my pool being open and will most likely be lost during the month of October before I close my pool. Otherwise, the cleaner does the job.

Carefully rinse the canister after every cycle and periodically use mild soap and a soft brush to dislodge any microscopic debris that may be impeding flow.
