Polaris G52 Back-up Valve Assembly. This is a factory original Polaris replacement back up valve. It has a timer mechanism inside that diverts water out of a jet every 5-10 minutes. This jet acts as a back up, pulling the cleaner out from the pool floor or wall. There is an arrow on one side of the hose barb that should face towards the cleaner. Reverse valve replacement I had to replace this valve for an old one that went bad. This was a prefect replacement. Well pleased.
Like Having a New Polaris My old Polaris seemed a little lame, not moving well around the pool. Turns out it was a leaky backup valve that was always pulling on the hose. This one changed everything and now the Polaris glids effortlessly around the walls and keeps the pool cleaner than ever.
as advertised Product was as advertised. No regrets. Only problem is all parts for the polaris 280 are expensive. Wish i could find a cheaper outlet. So far this ids the best.
Works perfect My Polaris kept getting stuck in corners, and it turns out it was because the backup valve wasn't working properly. Replaced it with this one and now my Polaris works perfect.
