Polaris G52 Back-up Valve Assembly. This is a factory original Polaris replacement back up valve. It has a timer mechanism inside that diverts water out of a jet every 5-10 minutes. This jet acts as a back up, pulling the cleaner out from the pool floor or wall. There is an arrow on one side of the hose barb that should face towards the cleaner. It worked!!! Our pool cleaning robot kept getting stuck and was not cleaning the pool well anymore. Turns out if your backup valve is continuously shooting water it is broken. Replaced with this one. Now the water shoots out but with intervals. Robot works great - cleaned out the entire pool under 1 hour and there were a lot of leaved on the bottom.
Good quality I've had this installed for a few months and it works as it should OK it says I need more words for this review but what more is there to say? :)

Full Back-up Valve Works Great I was having so much trouble with my Polaris pool vac. What amazed me in the end is that I had so-called experienced pool people looking at it working--my pool maintanence man said it was working fine, when it was tilting and floating and going sideways and skipping parts of the pool. Good deal, easy to install. Easy to install, fixed all my problems of Polaris getting stuck on stairs, ect. The pool store wanted twice the money for the same product.
Great product for an even greater savings I am so glad I found this product on amazon. I went to a local pool company and was told to would cost double the price of the cost on amazon. I got the part in 2 days, snapped it on easily and the pool look great again.
