Polaris G52 Back-up Valve Assembly. This is a factory original Polaris replacement back up valve. It has a timer mechanism inside that diverts water out of a jet every 5-10 minutes. This jet acts as a back up, pulling the cleaner out from the pool floor or wall. There is an arrow on one side of the hose barb that should face towards the cleaner. Perfect Our original - somehow, the spout seemed to have gotten sheared off, and wasn't backing up properly. I'm not sure why the Zodiac was cheaper than the Polaris (even though they are the same unit?) but this was a pretty easy fix. Works like a champ.
exactly as advertised This back up valve is exactly what I needed when my original back up valve on my polaris 280 stopped working. The price is a lot less than pool stores. Thought it may need some assembly since it is listed as a back up valve kit, but it is intact and ready to be installed.
Works great. Easy to install and works great. I have had it installed since last summer and still going strong. Highly Recommended.

This is a genuine brand new replacement part This is no better than or worse than the original, I have to replace it every now and then, and it get's the job done. Amazon tends to have the best price on this.

Good Stuff If anything this works too well. It is powerful and easily picks up the pool cleaner and relocates it. I was impressed.
Got on time and worked great Hookup up and worked great right out of box. Well packaged and instructions were simple and easy to follow. Still working perfectly as of this date.
