Waiting to see if Zodiac backs their product... Burned out after only 3 months - it remains to be seen if Zodiac will provide good warranty customer service (thus far, they haven't been very helpful at obtaining repair service). I'll update review at the conclusion of this misadventure, but I'm beginning to worry that it won't end well.
Stopped working after only 6 months. Last booster pump ... Stopped working after only 6 months. Last booster pump lasted over 10 years but it wasn't a Polaris. Purchase a different brand.
Polaris new model pb4-60. Weak connection Nice pump but one big problem. The upper connection does not have the wrap around metal band like the old Polaris pumps did. It last 3 days before is small crack appeared and water started leaking. There was a reason for that band in the past. Lesson put a hose clamp around it before you tighter the fitting. Ps the old housing will not fit on this newer model pump. $56 dollar part to fix yourself.
Unfortunately the motor burned out Zodiac rep told me to hire a electrician to verify even though he told me the motor was bad. Received pump today simple to hook up. Ordered a newHayward pump Polaris continues to build their products in China pure garbage.

Zodiac determined the motor was bad and shipped a new pump to the pool store ... Had it professionally installed and within 2 hours of it working it would randomly shut off. It would then randomly turn on.....off....on..............off................................on....off......you get the point. I called the company and after being on hold for over 45 minutes, they told me I would have to an official pool technician call so they could troubleshoot over the phone. Warning poor quality Bought the pump in March 2014 and had it installed by my pool company in May 2014. July 2014 the pump completely quit working. Very disappointed and still can't figure out how to get Amazon to replace it. Reading reviews now seems to be a major problem with this pump. Didn't give 90 days of service. Sorry I didn't buy local and could get the service I expect.
if i need to pull hose i can very easily remove clamp popin red clip no longer fit hose assembly. i removed slide connectors. went to autoparts bought each 4 1-1,4 radiator clamps. if i need to pull hose i can very easily remove clamp. had installed unit 10 years ago..the parts fit then..now they don't...my pool contractor having same problem...................Polaris too cheap to correct parts...they are now very rich because they moved plant to Mexico....
