Lasted only 14 months Ordered April 2012, worked great until June 2013. Motor just hums now, removed pump and it is not seized, bad motor.. Warranty only good for 12 months.
Piece of Junk I purchased this booster pump from Pool Goods for over $180, and it died 6.5 months later. An identical item that I had before lasted almost 10 years. I'm trying to get a refund from the seller, Pool Goods, but I know how that's going to go. I feel totally taken and will never buy another high dollar item online.
The pump is great, the warranty is awful I bought this pump to replace a worn out booster pump. The seller delivered exactly as specified and on time. After I installed it, it wouldn't work. I'm no dummy, not a stranger to plumbing and/or wiring so I knew I had done the installation correctly. Called Zodiac technical support. The first "technician" was about to put me through to another higher level tech to walk me through pulling the pump down. Ran out of time. Called the next day. Second "technician" said that the warranty... read more
Pool Cleaner Booster Pump This is a replacement for a 10 year old existing pump that had a metal motor support. Not a very good design for an environment with Chlorine and it rusted out putting strain on the shaft seal and the existing pump leaks badly. Decided to replace the pump with this Zodiac PB4-60. Nice design with plastic pump stand to support the pump on a concrete foundation. This will not rust. Wired for 220V from factory, so will operate at optimal efficiency. I have ordered a Pentair 3 HP VF main pool pump that ... read more
Working well so far. The booster pump is work well so far. However, it was quite difficult to install the wiring and the hose clamps. The price I purchased it for was about $80 cheaper than retail.
Replaced the same exact Booster Pump Everything was replaced with no problems and ran like it should. The old pump was several years old and this was a perfect match.
Problems with upright riser splitting at seam Warning: Problems with upright riser splitting at seam. I purchased this pump with a riser that had a lip. The pump housing split at both seams in the upright riser. It looks as if they now may have fixed the issue for it looks like they got rid of the lip and added a band. Nonetheless the pool company I bought my pump from didn't respond to my emails to get this item fixed. I glued and banded the upright riser but still had a small leak. Motor wasn't as quiet as I was expecting ... read more
Not a reliable pump motor. (Made in China) I purchased this pump and installed it the first week of June, 2012. Had no problems with this pump for the first five and a halve months and then at the end of November it started to make a small noise while running. I thought it to just be a little sign of wear due to everyday use. However, after a week the pump motor failed. There was no odor to indicate it burned the windings but a quick check with a voltammeter showed the windings to have an open in them. Trashed the motor and ... read more
