Leaky Fitting! The metal ring on the face plate which is displayed on the photo of the model is not present on the model which received. Thus, a fracture has occurred where the fitting screws into the flange of the plate, and subsequently a leak has developed. I've placed a compression fitting on the flange, but a small leak still persist. Is there a face plate compatible for this model that has the metal ring on it?
Pump works well This pump was purchased at significant savings over the same pump locally. It came in quickly, was installed quickly, and has operated perfectly for over a year. i have absolutely nothing negative to say about this product.
Works well but noisy I bought this booster pump to replace an 8 year old pump of the same model. Without the pump, our Polaris pool cleaner would be obsolete. This unit is a somewhat loud - but I was aware of that prior to purchasing. Thankfully, the pool equipment is far enough away from our pool that's it's not too much of a nuisance. I would recommend purchasing the quieter model if your booster pump and pool are in the same general vicinity. On time The pump was shipped within the date that was advertised. It was not packaged very well. The pump was in a cardboard box, and then there was another cardboard box with 6 packing peanuts protecting the inner box. The pump was installed and it has run great for me since. They just didn't even need to waste the time throwing that few packing peanuts in the box.
DIY and save big Easy, exact product replacement / upgrade. One "BIG" surprise was that new pump was much quiter than the replacement pump ( even when it was new), would not recommend spending the extra $100 for the so called quiet pump.
Basically satisfied The pump came in a reasonable time. The only problem was that the threads were not cut properly for the cord restraint, and I need to force in a metal one that I had to buy from a hardware store. Also the quick connect hose ends supplied were male, and I needed female ends requiring purchase of unions to make it all connect easily. But the pump seems to work as advertised.

Polaris/Zodiac Breaks down too Often Based on my experience with owning Polaris/Zodiac products, it's products are simply UNREALIABLE. My Polaris ATV pool vacuum broke down after a 1.5 yr and needed complete overhaul/rebuild, which wasn't worth the price. Now, this issue with one of the booster pump. Barely lasted a year. We had a hot weather spell in California last week, five consecutive days over 100 degrees and barely cooled down at night. This pump did not make it, started making horrible noises. Thought it might be the seal so I took a look. But no, it is the motor that is toast, makes grinding noise if I turn the shaft.
