Item never worked but seller refunded purchase amount once item was returned I installed this item. It's quite frankly easier than a garbage disposal which makes me really question the need to have a professional install it. Literally took me 15 minutes start to finish. I replaced the old motor with the exact same motor, so wiring was a snap. Heck, I even shut off the main breaker to the house out of an abundance of caution when I hooked it up. Arrived broken TWICE. We never had a chance to see if the products works. Because it arrived broken TWICE IN A RAW.

Buyers beware Out of the box it shuts off every 5 minutes or so. Like so many others have commented the only thing worse than the motor is the lack of complying with any sort of warranty. Buy at your own risk reportedly Zodiac’s new policy is they won’t warranty any internet purchases even though the warranty included mentions nothing of the sort.
Disappointed Bought the pump and within two months the motor starts screaming! Very disappointed.
Seller to stand behind there product I ordered this pump in june. It was very simple to change out the existing pump with the new pump. Everything was running great for 1 month. Then the pump started squealing as if a bearing were going out. The seller and manufacturer would not warranty this product unless it was installed by a professional pool technician (pool guy quoted me $575 before I decided to order a new pump on amazon).
Works as advertised The product arrived on time. However, the plastic plug for the electrical hole would not unscrew. The unit must have been stored in, or was exposed to, high temperatures. It was as if the plug was melted into the hole. Using a flat head screwdriver only cut through the plug like a hot knife in butter. I used a drill to bore a hole through the plastic plug, so the wires could be pulled through. And then I used electrical tape to waterproof the conduit to the pump. Stopped working. Stopped working after two weeks. Zodiac said I am out of luck since I bought it online. Will not buy this pump again.
