Disappointing - Do not recommend We replaced a 20 year old Polaris pump that, while working, was weak and LOUD, with this item. We installed ourselves. Installation was pretty easy, we had it in and running within an hour. It was great for 4 months. Now it's loud and weak. And I'm reading from other posts that there is no warranty since we installed ourselves. Way to punish the consumer for trying to save some money. Won't be buying this product again. Our apologies to our neighbors for the noise
Needs more force. Does not provide enough force to operate the vacuum robot.
No Warranty Coverage for Defective Motor No warranty support for defective motor that failed in less than 90 days. The motor will not start when it stops in a certain position. The motor has to be rotated a 1/4 turn and then it will start and runs fine and will start again after being turned off as long as it does not stop in one certain position. Buyer Beware Do not expect Polaris to honor the warranty if you install it yourself. Ours runs for about 10-15 minutes then stops. Then it starts back up on its own 15-20 minutes later. After waiting about six hours for a tech to return my call he told me I would have to have it serviced by a certified technician, and since I installed it myself the warranty will not be honored. Why do they sell on Amazon if the warranty will not be honored?
Don't Do It -- Trust the 1 star Reviews (they're real) Installed fine. Ran reasonably quiet, seemed good. Within 3 weeks the outlet of the volute developed a fine crack and proceeded to open and spray water. Of course this was a few days over 30 days and the vendor would not refund/replace through amazon and now I'm dealing with 2 HOUR hold periods on the fluidra/polaris support to try and get them to cover the $60 replacement part (we'll see). No way we can review Can’t really review the product because it was dead on arrival with signs of being installed previously. So we were sent someone’s garbage and now I have to wait for a refund to be able to re-order another... Kind of crappy...
Failed after two months/no warranty support Very disappointed. 2 months after install the thermal breaker started to trip. I reached out to the distributor and they refuse to honor the 1 year warranty because I installed the pump myself. Despite having installed the pump correctly (since it worked flawlessly for two months) they will not honor the warranty the pump. BUYER BEWARE: there is NO warranty unless installed by a pool company.
Garbage broke a month after warranty I bought this last spring and paid a pool guy to install, even though it would have been easy to do; after reading a review that said you need a pro install or they won’t honor the warranty. The pro messed up the connection to the outlet hose which came off shortly after he left, resulting in salt water spraying on my salt system control panel for several hours. Quit working in 2 months It quit working after about 2 months & took it to repair shop .they replaced some switch , charged me 90 dolars
