My pool has never been cleaner. Very easy to clean the cleaner.
The gear box broke after using for 3 months. Polaris would not cover the repairs.
The machine is crap. I paid $1000 for it and it doesn't work as good as the "basic model" 3 wheeled machine that I've had for 20 years. Leslie's sales person shamed me for still have the "basic model" but it was a heck of a lot better than this one. No rhyme or reason to pattern. continues to get hung up on pool jets and steps. Top has crevices which traps debris so that you will have to remove screws to properly clean it. It's junk.
We purchased the Quattro p40 two years ago and it worked good for about 9 months and since then it has had nothing but problems. The gears stripped out and had to be replaced and it is now doing the same thing again ie gets stuck and won’t back up. It also dumps all the dirt in the canister back in the pool when I take it out to clean it. The connector hose has completely broken off the main body and it is now useless. This has been a $1200 waste of money. I would not recommend it to anyone!
This is the third Polaris Quattro I've had this year. The first would start to climb a wall and then just settle down on the rear end and spin. the second would get stuck in the "L" part of my pool and high center the rotating propellers and stop. The third one is the one I have now and after working well most of the summer will not leave the deep end of the pool. I've taken it back to Leslie's and they have inspected the hose and all the workings and find nothing wrong. Help.
My unit worked great when I boubht it 5 months ago, but now continually gets stuck alond walls or steps. It will back off and rotate periodically, but always ens up pointed at the wall again and remains stuck. Eventually it will contact the wall at a slight angle and roll on its side and free iself, but I would estimate that it is stuck at least 80 percent of the time. I don't imagine this is good for the gear box, which I have already had to replace. PLEASE let me know how to adress this. I have done all of the obvious stuf... read more
Bought the Polaris Quattro p40 and within a year it had to have the gears replaced due to 'grit' (per Leslie Pool)....first time warranty covered...NOW it is back in the shop for the same thing and Leslie Pool said it would cost $500 to fix due to the same issue....grit in the gears/transmission.....we have a brand new pump...brand new filter and our pool service said there's no way a small amount of grit could shut this down....please help me...email:docbrownfarm@gmail.com or 404-772-9826
I have had my Quattro Sport for 15 months now and has done well until a couple weeks ago. The Canister Top will NOT stay attached. Checked the housing tabs and the push button trigger, etc. and all seems to be working well. It is like the canister is to small and will not properly snap and stay on during the cleaning process. I hope this is a warranty fix. Help! Robert
This was a great cleaner for the first 10 months. Now the canister latch won't hold, so all it does is blow debris all over the pool :(
