This is mine and my husbands favorite restaurant!!! The food & service is always amazing.
The food and service were excellent. We enjoyed all aspects of our salads, and entree. Our server, Haley was attentive without being overbearing. The wine selections were a little light. We found there were a number of options available that we not on the Wind menu. I found this very curious. Finally, I was a little upset that we called the restaurant the day before our visit and asked if we could bring in our own wine for dinner - and we told no - as there was no corkage on Wednesdays. Excellent meal. Have been dinning and entertaining guests at Portico's since it opened. Without a doubt best place locally for higher end dinning. Happy to see the most recent menu changes (the wedge and Cesar salads now are more like one would expect, nice steak choices, miss the pork chop though - Bostrum farms would be a great local source for those). THREE different things were “sold out” on a Saturday which for a restaurant is when you should be properly stocked for the elevated traffic. Sorely disappointed after all the hype. The bread/rolls that were sent out were cold. I’m not trying to nitpick but bread/rolls should ALWAYS be served hot or at least warm. Who wants to eat cold bread/rolls? I ordered lobster Mac and cheese but when I tried it, it tasted more like milk that cheese. The flavor was not good. The manager then explained that it was more like Alfredo than Mac and cheese. To me that's misinformation on the menu. I thought I was getting lobster mac and cheese not lobster Alfredo. I told the manager that the lobster mac and cheese at draft Kings was much better.
