I moved into one of their homes a week before Christmas this holiday. They were supposed to have a zoom walk through, it didnt happen. It was in the 20s (degrees) for Christmas of which we suffered with below 60 temps in the house with a broken thermostat. We had over 8 work orders in the first week of living here. Then this month they they try to disguise utility charges for those repairs. Beware this company has very little customer service and nobody at corporate can answer a question truthfully.

I have been a tenant now for 3 years and had no complaints until now. 1st- 3 weeks ago called the customer service because the house next (also owned by Progress) to us has squatters that have been disruptive and racing in the street almost hitting a neighbor and nothing has been done. 2- made another complaint months ago about a leak in the bathroom toilet and that the tiles in shower had sunk in. My rent is due on the 1st. I helped my family out in ******** with some money due to the snowstorm as I knew I was being paid on January 6th. I sent a partial payment in of $1,400 on the December 31st which left my balance at $766.52 and checked my lease agreement. I found out that I would receive a $125 late charge if I waited to pay it on the 6th. I saw they listed a property on Zillow, I had to access a tour through an alternate app, the app sent me a code to enter the rental, but no gate code to get into the community, Im on a lunch break, I call Progress Residential no one there can find away to get me in, I was out there for 1 hour, finely a resident let me in the gate. I feel as though I have been scammed by this company. I wish I could give them 0 stars. They falsely have put me in eviction status and now have to fight them in court after 2 years of renting from this company. Do not rent from these criminals!

TL; DR: NEVER RENT FROM THEM! I've lived in my rental for 3 years. Not once has there been any preventative maintenance. Now that I'm moving out (January 2023) they want me to pay ALL my utilities from October until January. Why weren't my monthly utilities paid the month I was paying rent. They think I should repaint the entire house upon vacating. Plus they'll charge $450 to have the house cleaned if I don't PAY someone else to have it cleaned upon my vacating it. ------ NEGATIVE REVIEW -----Renters beware this company will allow you to give them $385 in order to secure a house and apply for it only to ask you for your actual bank account login and password to verify your income. If that sounds outrageous to you like it did to me please keep that in mind they also will not refund your money after giving you this cazy application process. Worst Rental Property company ever. Quick to move you in and horrible at responding to service calls. Repair Technicians come a week or more after call or don't show up at all. Supposed emergency calls are no different, so if you A/C, Heating or other stop working, you're out of luck for a prompt reply.
